Our Grant Application Process
If your charity provides support to adults, children and pets in Colorado, New Mexico or Southwest Florida, we encourage you to apply for a grant from the Fred and Jean Allegretti Foundation. Start by understanding the grant process and then proceed to the Guidelines provided on this website.
Our Process:

Submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI)
If your organization has not received a grant from the Allegretti Foundation in the past 12 months, begin by submitting an LOI. -
Submit a Full Grant Application
If your proposal fits sufficiently within our mission to merit further review, we will invite you to submit a full application. -
Grants Awarded
The applications are reviewed, and grant decisions are made August through September. Funds are distributed in October. -
Post-Grant Report
Organizations that receive a grant must submit a Post–Grant Report, which will be referenced for future grant making.

Does Your Organization Qualify for a Grant?
If you are wondering if your organization qualifies for a grant from the Fred and Jean Allegretti Foundation, proposals will be considered from charities that meet the following criteria:
- 501(c)3 organizations
- Organizations that reflect the mission of our foundation: The Fred & Jean Allegretti Foundation provides financial support to various domestic charitable organizations and institutions that work to improve the lives, minds, health and wellbeing of children, adults, the elderly, animals and those physically challenged. It is our goal to provide a quality of life and dignity through humanitarian support, medical treatment, housing, education and the arts.
- Organizations that keep books available to all potential contributors
- Organizations that comply with all laws of reporting
- Organizations in Colorado, Florida, New Mexico USA
We do not award grants to individuals, endowments, religious organizations, events or organizations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation.
